Canopy Homefashion came to be in Colonnades Shopping Centre, in October 2007. Our opening was many many months in the making: it was conversation after discussion after pros-and-cons list after copious amounts of coffee and wine, and our decision to open in what was back then a sleepy suburban shopping centre came to bloom when we decided that there was no better place for beautiful décor and gifts than here, amongst the southern vales and beaches.

We opened in a small shop of about 80m2 (!), and despite out narrow walkways we were very well received by locals, who were delighted to have come across a store that was full of on-trend homewares and carefully curated pieces that they could treasure for years to come.

Since then, we have seen many home trends come and go – remember the ceramic pineapples everyone must have, or the pops of red in every room? 

Although the store started as homewares and gifts exclusively, we slowly ventured into a single rack of clothing; which has grown substantially over the years to take up almost half of our floor space. Our collection now includes fashion, jewellery and handbags, from the most incredible brands.

In August 2017, we underwent our biggest change yet: a major refit which more than doubled our once small store in size, giving customers near and far an even bigger, more beautiful reason to shop with us.

Our small, handpicked team of talented, passionate and strong women has made Canopy a destination in the south unlike any other; we love our customers and this incredible community that we have created!

We love bringing to life exciting new products in an aesthetically pleasing environment that allows you to linger, chat, meet friends and look for inspiration for your homes.

We are one of the very few stores in South Australia that offer many local and national brands under the one roof; brands that have grown with us and have allowed us to grow with them. Some of these include: Glasshouse Fragrances, Palas, Amalfi Homewares, Madras Link, Eb & Ive, and Holiday.

We are so proud of where we started, and how far we have come. Thank you for being on our journey with us, we cannot wait to see where we go from here.
